Ok, let me start out by saying I am not a huge Dave Rogers fan.  He plays a light blues.  Not the deep, raunchy, rocky stuff that I like.  But, that doesn't mean I don't still have good things to say.  Dave rocked the house pretty well.  The dance floor was full most of the third set.  It was a good show and it definitely had musical high points for me.

I guess, to get straight to that highlight.  Dave Rogers plays Carlos Santana very well.  I don't remember the names of the songs.  They were both great!  The other, the song _White Room_ by the band Cream, and then later put out as a solo by Cream guitarist Eric Clapton.  It was an excellent cover.

Other than that, it was a fine night.  We spent some time talking to a recovering cancer patient and long time Harley rider who was planning on leaving at the end of May for a ride down to Floridia and back up the coast to Kentucky where he grew up.  He called it a healing ride.  He really wasn't any happier about the current weather than we are.

The band sounded great!  No surprise since sound expert Dave Orr was playing drums.  It seems like the best of both worlds for the Dave Rogers Band.  To have such a qualified individual running the sound, and yet, not have your sound guy suckin' up beers, and drinking all the profits while you are working.

One point of interest was this was only the third performance of the Dave Rogers band since Dave had carpel tunnel surgery in his fretting arm.  He sounded great.  He said there was a few songs he couldn't do yet, but it sure seemed to me like he was on the path for a full recovery.

Dave Rogers is a must see if you are into lighter blues.   He usually plays around the Lacrosse area where he owns Dave's guitar shop.
