Concert Report
Wednesday, 15 August 2007
Marilyn Manson, August 14th at the St. Paul Excel Energy.

A night of drama and music. Not to be forgotten. It was a great concert, in a great hall for listening to music. We had a really good time.

We had never seen Manson before, though we had wanted to for a long time. The stars had just never aligned for us to work it out. Because we generally only do one or two of these big shows per year, we just never made it. This year, was no exception. With Lynyrd Skynyrd and Pink Floyd just a couple months ago, we decided to go for that third show and it ended up well worth it.

Concert Report

Roger Waters, Excel Energy Center

I would have to say this concert was in the top five concerts I have ever seen.  The sound was perfect.  Clear, clean, no echo, no buzz.  Just like sitting home in your living room, except really big, really pounding, and loud enough for your neighbors to call the cops.  The seats were very good.  Better than expected when we first walked in and sat down.  As it turned out, Waters played to our side of the stage much more than the other side.  We were just 19 rows back, on the lower deck, just in front of the front edge of the stage.  But, since the speaker system was ceiling mounted, the view was unobstructed.

Nationwide Man Hunt Called Off
Sunday, 24 June 2007
The Dane family returned home to the scene of the crime late Saturday, ending the nationwide manhunt for Andrew Dane and his family. Dane, who stands accused of loading WPR call in lines with callers, perhaps in collusion with Nathan Berg, local restauranteur, who both willfully bribed callers to phone into the radio show and plug their respective projects.
