Wow! We made it to week 4! This weeks Underdog radio is all about The Last Rites Of Ransom Pride movie and we have the inside scoop. We will be featuring music from Ray Wylie Hubbard along with a interview that Jessie Scott had with Ray about the movie when she caught up with him at Music fest 2009. Thanks to MusicFog.com for allowing us to broadcast that interview. We will also have the music Marianna Bell who is one of the contestants from the songwriting contest.

Featured artists in this weeks installment are Winners of the Best Western Band in Chicago, Hen House Prowlers.  Other bands, from Chicago, Corn Meal, Old Chew.  And local Eau Claire band, New North String Band.

On this weeks Underdog radio your host Brian Bethke explores music from outside the United States with
Cork-Ireland's resident Bill Coleman, Sunrise Sunset from Llandudno-United Kingdom and The Garlics from Boisbriand-Canada. Also a found audio clip from 1997 of a band called Fatal Conformity featuring Brian Bethke and also Michael "RIFF" Johnson on drums.

Underdog radio is proud to announce the the weekly show will now be broadcast on radio 252 out of North Carolina Sunday nights 9pm eastern / 8pm central time! This weeks show features songs from two great Eau Claire, Wisconsin bands South Farwell, and the Laarks! We will also discuss the strange but true story about a lamb being born with a mans face, a little news about chronic Lyme and feature some music out of Sweden with The Gordons.

Underdog Radio is a new weekly pod-cast coming to you from the woods of Midwestern Wisconsin. On this weeks show your host Brian Bethke explores Eau Claire WI with the music of Jonathan Seeley, Charles Morgan and Sounds of a Fallen Echo. Also on this show find out how to submit music to song writing contest for new movie with Dwight Yoakam called Last Rites Of Ransom Pride and of course Brian has to get his shameless plug in for his new song The Silence.

The first half of the show focuses on the local band, Left Wing Bourbon.  Other artists, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Green Day covered by Hayseed Dixie, a remix of a Brian Bethke song with fan participation, and a song by Josh Ritter closes out the show.

The special We Want the Carp Back episode of with local music that used to play on the Carp Loud and Local program.  Music featured is by the bands, Trip District, Orestus, Three Pill Morning and Jason Koehler.

Week number five and the first week of hour long shows.  This week, host Brian Bethke features Michael Perry and the Longbeds, and Justin Vernon, better known to many (but Brian) as Bon Iver.  And talk of an issue coming before the state government, Medical Marijuana.

This week on Underdog Radio, three songs by Chris Bathgate, a couple from Josh Ritter and Shawn Hayes, Goodman West, Ray LaMontagne along with a stunning lack of Lady Gaga.

Music outside of the local area this week.  Liz Meyer from the Netherlands and her CD, The Storm.  Liz is an artist who is suffering with cancer and and fits in with the theme of Brian Bethke's The River CD release this week.
