Early lifeAnna Johnson is a singer/songwriter who grew up in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. After high school she won a songwriting contest for the song Flowers on Monday. The contest was sponsored by the rock band Queen. She was awarded tuition to a music school in St. Paul Minnesota. After graduation she moved to Nashville TN where she was joined a few months later by her sister, Julia Johnson. Her earlier work is sad, songs of love & loss. With the release of her Ready to Go CD her style morphed to something much lighter more whimsical. Anna married David Mitchell during the summer of 2011 and legally goes by the name Anna Mitchell except for the stage.
