Early life

Guitarist Cole Doering has been a well known instrumentalist in the Eau Claire rock scene for years. Without a doubt a dedicated partner to the six-string.

It all started in late March 2004, Cole was hired to play at Rock Fest that summer. There Cole got to share the stage with legendary musicians Y&T, Saliva, Tesla, Twisted Sister and Judas Priest. He quickly became known and loved by the fans for his hair band looks and blistering 80’s style guitar playing. He was fortunate to spend some time backstage and got to meet guitarist Frank Hannon and vocalist Jeff Keith from the band Tesla.

In January of 2005 Cole started the power trio E.C.Gunz where he was the only guitarist and lead vocalist. This band became largely a studio effort where Cole used it to promote his instrumental material and allowed his guitar playing to take center stage. Dubbed the "Lethal Licks Tour" he played the bar and club circuit from 2005 into 2006. Since that time Cole has worked with most of the bands in the area and has developed a reputation with local musicians as a hard working, reliable player. He is able to step in with about any band on short notice with little or no rehearsal and still get the job done. His abilities distinguish him from most of the other session guitarists in Eau Claire. With licks that just won't stop Cole has been playing the western Wisconsin club circuit to capacity crowds night after night and has earned a place with fans as one of western Wisconsin’s premiere Metal guitarists.
