Band History

Elliston has recently become an important part of the tiny Chippewa Falls music scene. In just a few months of playing local shows they are now starting to make an impact on the Eau Claire scene as well by playing with local college bands at several of Eau Claire’s top venues. Word has begun to spread and they have garnered as much buzz as any other area band. Elliston has played to packed coffee houses and larger clubs alike. The sound is always infectious, and new to most in attendance. It’s always familiar but still very different at every show. Elliston seems to have mastered the blend of electronic and organic instruments.

Genre

The members themselves are unsure of exactly which genre they belong in, “Whenever people ask me what kind of music we play I don’t really have an answer. People come up with all kinds of crazy genres. My personal favorite so far is experimental/electro/indie/folk/pop. The truth is we don’t really know, but we’re not too concerned about that” says Eric Rykal, lead singer of Elliston. No matter what you think they play, it’s quite easy to see that Elliston is sure to please listeners of any kind of music, and their live show is something nobody should miss.
