Early life

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, he started playing in bars at fourteen years old. Larry has played the club circuit around the country. He has opened for bands such as Marilyn Manson, Seven Mary Three, Jackyl, Candle Box, and other major acts. During that time, he played with members of southern rock band Molly Hatchett and 80's German metal band Accept (balls to the wall). With this band, he toured the East coast until 1996, when he moved back to Chicago. He played in various bands around Chicago area from 1996 until 2002 when he moved to Wisconsin.

Founded the band Cats Ass in February 2003 along with Randy Raskie.

Chippewa Herald -- Monday April 5th, 2011

A Cornell man died Monday night after the minivan he was driving left a 
road and wound up submerged in three feet of the Chippewa River.

The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department identifies the driver as 
Laurence Feichter, 44.

The accident was reported at 11:07 p.m. on County CC, north of County Z, 
in the town of Cleveland. The crash happened north of Cornell.
According to the sheriff’s department:

A minivan going south on County CC over-corrected after driving on the 
road shoulder. The vehicle spun around, crossing the northbound lane, 
and went down an embankment before overturning into the river.

Rescue crews found Feichter in the vehicle and he was unresponsive. 
He was taken by Mayo helicopter to Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, where 
he died a short time later.
